Aerotek Mechanical Assembler in New Richmond, Wisconsin

Mechanical Assembler – $24+/hr | 6:00am–2:30pm, Monday–Friday | Great Benefits

Overview

We are seeking skilled Mechanical Assemblers to join a collaborative team environment building high‑quality packaging equipment. In this role, you’ll work directly from blueprints, engineering drawings, 3D models, and Bills of Materials (BOM) to assemble and modify mechanical systems. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‑on work, problem‑solving, and contributing to continuous improvement in a fast‑paced manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble mechanical components and systems accurately, safely, and efficiently using proper hand and power tools.

  • Interpret and work directly from blueprints, assembly drawings, 3D models, and BOMs.

  • Perform mechanical modifications as needed based on engineering requirements.

  • Collaborate with Fabrication, Engineering, and other departments to resolve issues and improve processes.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives across the production floor.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Technical degree or minimum 1 year of mechanical assembly experience in a production environment.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

  • Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs independently (heavier loads with assistance).

  • Comfortable working in various physical positions and around moving mechanical components.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic PC skills.

  • Experience with SolidWorks or SAP is a plus.

Schedule & Compensation

  • Pay: $24+/hr (based on experience)

  • Shift: 6:00am–2:30pm, Monday–Friday

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr.
