Robert Half Sr Payroll Specialist in New Orleans, Louisiana

Description We are looking for a Senior Payroll Specialist to join our team in New Orleans, Louisiana. In this role, you will take the lead in processing bi-weekly and monthly payrolls, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. This is a Contract to permanent position, offering an opportunity to make a significant impact on payroll operations while collaborating with both employees and team members.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly and monthly payrolls for employees.

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, implementing changes as needed.

• Maintain payroll systems and address complex issues or discrepancies that arise.

• Provide guidance and direction to entry level payroll staff, ensuring their work aligns with organizational standards.

• Research and resolve non-routine payroll challenges using sound judgment and technical expertise.

• Collaborate with employees to address payroll-related inquiries and provide exceptional customer service.

• Analyze payroll data and generate detailed reports for management review.

• Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations to maintain compliance.

• Utilize ADP Workforce Now for payroll management and reporting.

• Handle payroll for a workforce exceeding 500 employees, including multi-state payroll processing. Requirements • Associate’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in payroll processing and management.

• Advanced knowledge of payroll principles, including federal and state laws and regulations.

• Proficiency in using ADP Workforce Now and handling full-cycle payroll operations.

• Experience managing payroll for over 500 employees across multiple states.

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to address complex payroll issues effectively.

• Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships and handle sensitive situations.

• Commitment to delivering high-quality customer service and ensuring employee satisfaction.
