Responsible for maintaining hospital supply carts.
Responsibilities:
Routinely replenishes and exchanges supply carts in accordance with predetermined and individualized quantities and schedules.
Accurately maintains records of each cart's replenishment levels, dates and changes.
Interfaces with appropriate staff for assistance in reconciling charges.
Routinely suggests changes, additions, deletions to each cart as needed, based on documented usage or authorized request. Advises supervisor of changes in usage patterns and anticipated stock levels which may be required.
Ensures availability of supplies in proper locations. Verifies and labels items for future use.
Ensures that care is used in handling products to maintain package integrity.
Demonstrates ability to receive, label, issue, and store materials and supplies according to departmental procedures in absence of other staff members.
Ensures that carts and shelving are cleaned on a regular rotating schedule.
Maintains work areas in a clean and orderly manner.
Assists in periodic taking of physical inventories.
Actively participates in the orientation of new personnel and in programs of continuing in-service education.
Undertakes data entry functions related to the distribution of supplies to include: ensures batches of date are verified and completed within the allocated time and transmitted to Data Processing, maintains computer equipment in clean condition, recognizes problems and calls for assistance before errors are created and data is damaged, and keys information in prescribed manners, scans and edits for errors during and after processing.
13.Achieves the organization�s established expectations regarding quality service and team work in support of customers and their service needs.
14.Picks up and delivers supplies, equipment, materials, mail, business and finance materials, banking requirements, specimens and other related items in accordance with a required schedule, work assignment methodology or assignment of responsibilities through management.
15.Ensures through actions or by communication to management the proper working order and responsibility for safe and compliant operation of hospital vehicles including but not limited to repairs, maintenance, cleanliness, tire replacement, registration, emissions, insurance, other related activities, etc.
16.Performs vehicle inspections to ensure safety.
17.Documents activities in accordance with management requirements.
Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education: HS GRAD/EQUIVALENT required

Required: Good communication and listening skills, and direct customer contact.
Minimum Experience: six months
Valid CT or NY Drivers License (with clean driving record)
