The Classics Program at Connecticut College invites applications for a one-year, full-time position as Visiting Assistant Teaching Professor of Classics for the 2026-2027 academic year. Candidates should be prepared to teach Greek and Latin language courses at all undergraduate levels, as well as a 38-student course on Classical Mythology (in English) which contributes to our general education curriculum, " Connections ." The position will begin on July 1, 2026. Preference will be given to candidates who will have a Ph.D. in Classics completed by the time of appointment; ABD or Masters in Classics is required.
