Job Description
Supports the legal counsel in litigation research, discovery, and preparation of legal documents for various legal matters.
Job Responsibility
Prepares exhibits for various proceedings.
Collaborates with departments throughout to obtain necessary information relevant to each case.
Researches case law, codes, decisions, legal articles, and public records to determine causes of action and to prepare for various cases.
Assists with discovery, investigation, and research among other activities.
Conducts the initial interview to obtain information about the problem at hand.
Prepares legal documents (i.e. affiliation and transfer agreements, petitions, order to show cause, physician employment agreements, etc.) for review by counsel.
Collaborates with in-house counsel to maintain current Medical Staff Bylaws for the hospitals.
Develops and maintains departmental databases for tracking / monitoring information (i.e. labor and employment actions, vendor contracts, physician employment agreements, legal fees, file index, etc.).
Maintains department's law library, ensuring legal volumes and online resource access are current and up-to-date.

Preferred:
- Paralegal certificate
Job Qualification
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
1-3 years of relevant experience, required.

The salary range for this position is $69518.00-$111228.00/year
