Job Title: Service Administrator - III
Location: New Hudson, MI / Onsite
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM The Service Administrator serves as the first point of contact for customers at the branch. This role promotes quality customer service, supports operational efficiency, and assists in increasing business within the location. The position involves customer interaction, administrative coordination, and basic service support within an automotive or repair facility environment. Key Responsibilities Customer Service & Front Desk Support
Serve as the first point of contact for customers (in-person and by phone)
Develop and maintain positive customer relationships
Assess customer needs and gather relevant information
Provide status updates on service requests as needed
Promote a customer-focused experience
Administrative & Operational Support
Scan incoming products into the system
Create and initiate work orders in appropriate systems
Document service details accurately in management systems
Assist trucks with parking coordination in the rear lot
Support warranty processing (preferred but not required)
Service & Technical Support (as applicable)
Translate customer complaints into basic troubleshooting plans
Document troubleshooting steps and service actions
Utilize electronic service tools when required
Assist with technical escalations following internal procedures
Support service documentation for payment and historical tracking
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong computer skills
Excellent verbal and written communication
Comfortable in a customer-facing environment
Ability to manage conflict professionally
Strong customer focus and relationship-building skills
Organized and detail-oriented
Ability to follow procedures and document accurately
Preferred Experience
Background in automotive service, repair facilities, or service departments
Experience as a service writer or service technician
Exposure to warranty processing (a plus)
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required
Additional technical training is a plus
Experience
Relevant work experience in a service, automotive, or repair environment preferred
Specialized skills obtained through training or on-the-job experience are beneficial
