Process Operator
Location: New Holland, PA
Shifts Available:
1st Shift: $18.00/hour
2nd Shift: $19.00/hour
Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Machine Operator to support our sterilization and packaging operations. This position is responsible for operating and monitoring production equipment, ensuring product quality, maintaining accurate documentation, and following all safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Weekend and overtime hours may be required based on production needs.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Operate equipment within sterilization parameters, including 330 and 500 seamers, Inpaco machine, Hassia machine, and all related process systems
Produce quality products in accordance with established specifications
Continuously inspect finished products for:
Proper cup/bag formation
Fill weights
Acceptable sealing temperatures
Check and verify weights of outgoing finished products
Accurately complete and maintain processing paperwork in compliance with FDA guidelines
Record production data properly and mark charts accordingly
Ensure proper machine sterilization per documented procedures
Prepare body stock, lid stock, and bag film for use and record specifications on required reports
Assist with preventative maintenance activities
Rework products due to damage or underweight issues
Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Follow all plant safety rules and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
Perform other duties as assigned
Education Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required
Ability to use basic shop mathematics
Ability to use a wide variety of tools and precision measuring instruments
Ability to set up, re-tool, and operate moderately complex machinery in a repetitive production environment
Experience Requirements
- 6 months to 1 year of manufacturing experience preferred
Physical Demands
Operates keypad devices (10%)
Operates production machinery with various controls and adjustments (40%)
Operates equipment to meet speed, quantity, and quality goals (40%)
Uses hand and power tools (5%)
Performs routine tasks by hand (5%)
This role requires frequent standing, walking, lifting, and operating equipment.
Lifting requirement: Up to 100 lbs
Moderate effort for lifting, climbing, and moving
Significant effort in equipment operation
Major effort in standing for extended periods

Product Knowledge
- Understanding of how products function and relate to others within the total product line
Degree of Inspection
Continuous visual inspection of products
Continuous use of gauges and fixtures
Continuous judgment and interpretation of inspection results
Errors would have major impact but are typically identified and corrected by the employee and supervisor
Responsibility for Equipment and Work Area
Cleaning floors, work surfaces, and equipment
Visual inspection and preventative maintenance of machinery
Moderate level of care required to prevent damage
Equipment is precision, computer-controlled, and high-value
Supervision Received
Work is assigned daily or weekly
Errors may be discovered by the employee, supervisor, or team members and corrected collaboratively
Teamwork and Leadership
Works within individual and team-based environments
Team size: typically two employees
