Production Sanitation Technician – 3rd Shift

Location: New Holland, PA

Shift: 3rd Shift

Pay Rate: $18.00/hour

Status: Non-Exempt

Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Production Sanitation Technician to join our Sanitation team on 3rd shift in New Holland, PA . This role is responsible for cleaning, sterilizing, inspecting, and reassembling production equipment while following all safety, sanitation, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean and sterilize production equipment and machinery

  • Maintain accurate records of sterilization activities and required paperwork

  • Clean, assemble, and disassemble machine components, individual stations, and work areas

  • Break down and inspect machine parts such as filters, pumps, and sealing components

  • Reassemble machines while carefully inspecting parts for cleanliness and condition

  • Follow all plant safety rules and GMP requirements

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance and cleaning of floors and work surfaces

  • Work weekends and overtime as required

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Sanitation Supervisor

Education Requirements

  • Junior high school education through 8th grade (or equivalent)

  • Ability to multiply and divide

  • Ability to follow written job instructions

  • Ability to use simple tools and measuring instruments

Experience Requirements

  • Up to one year of related experience preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent operation of production machinery and equipment

  • Manual tasks requiring significant use of hands and fingers

  • Moderate to heavy physical effort including lifting, standing, walking, and climbing

  • Ability to lift 50–75 lbs

  • Work involves moderate-speed repetitive motions

Work Environment

  • Frequent exposure to dirt, heat, fumes, vibration, noise, and wet conditions

  • Occasional exposure to dust, cold, and poor ventilation

Health & Safety

  • Moderate potential for injury requiring trained medical attention

  • Low risk of minor cuts, abrasions, bruises, or more serious injuries when proper safety procedures are followed

Additional Skills & Competencies

  • Strong attention to detail and inspection accuracy

  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Accurate recordkeeping and documentation skills

  • Good judgment in routine and varied work activities

Supervision & Teamwork

  • Reports directly to the Sanitation Supervisor

  • Works independently while collaborating with a team of approximately three employees

  • Participates in team work activities 10–25% of the time
