Aerotek Material Handler in New Haven, Indiana

Job Title: Material Handler- 1st shift- up to 22/hr

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Material Handler, where you will be responsible for moving and handling materials within the facility, unloading and loading trucks, preparing materials for shipment, and ensuring accurate order processing.

Responsibilities

  • Move and handle materials in the facility

  • Unload and load trucks as required

  • Prepare materials for shipment

  • Open all sales orders

  • Confirm and back flush parts in all required areas

  • Create and print delivery slips

  • Change order amounts per customer requests

  • Create bar codes

  • Lift up to 50 lbs as needed

  • Willingness to use a forklift (stand up or sit down) in the future

Essential Skills

  • 2+ years of experience in material handling, shipping and receiving, or warehouse roles

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs unassisted

  • Proficiency in ERP system usage

  • Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite

  • Willingness to learn and use a forklift

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with stand up and sit down forklifts (10% of job)

  • Understanding or usage of SAP

Work Environment

Work in a medium-sized manufacturing company specializing in automotive and agriculture parts, with 50-60 employees on site. The facility is clean and constantly being upgraded. This is a 1st shift position with hours from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, totaling a 40-hour work week. Steel-toed shoes are required, and strict attendance policies are in place. Dress code includes jeans, a shirt, closed-toe shoes, and eye and ear protection. You may use one earbud while working, provided you can still hear others and machinery.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Haven, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
