Amazon Associate Corporate Counsel in New Delhi, India
Description
Litigation Management:
• Manage and supervise civil, labor and criminal litigation across various courts, tribunals, and law enforcement authorities throughout India.
• Review cases to understand facts, circumstances and analyze applicable laws and regulations.
• Track litigation timelines, ensure compliance with court directions and maintain accurate case management records.
Legal Documentation
• Draft, review, and vet pleadings, affidavits, written submissions, applications, legal notices, and other documents required for court proceedings.
• Prepare briefing materials and instructions for outside counsel ahead of hearings and trials.
External Counsel Coordination
• Coordinate with and manage external advocates, law firms and consultants to ensure effective representation.
• Brief outside counsel on case strategy and monitor performance.
Court Representation & Dispute Resolution
• Represent the Company before courts, tribunals, regulators and quasi-judicial authorities, where permitted.
• Support preparation for hearings, trials, settlement negotiations, mediation and arbitration.
Advisory & Compliance
• Provide strategic legal advice to business, HR and operations teams on litigation risks and dispute avoidance
• Assist in internal investigations and support responses to regulatory inquiries and enforcement actions.
• Fulfill company secretarial compliances and responsibilities in his / her capacity as a company secretary.

Basic Qualifications
5+ years of litigation experience
Experience of a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work
Company Secretary and LL.B/LL.M from a recognized university
Preferred Qualifications
- Candidates with prior litigation experience before courts and tribunals will be preferred.
