This posting is for New Century, Kansas
AM Shift - M-F 6:00am - 2:30pm
Production
- Read/understand work orders
- Ensure all proper guarding is on machine before and after use
- Determine speed and adjust machine stop/guides to specific length as needed to complete order
- Position material in coil form on coil cart
- Measure sheet dimensions using a calibrated; tape measure, micrometer and caliper
- Operate and cut metal to specified dimensions
- Package, tag and store in finished area
- Complete paperwork
- Perform machine visual inspections
- Perform material visual inspections
- Perform Quality Assurance checks
- Scrap material
- Assist other employees as needed
- Performs other duties as assigned
Safety
- Observe all company safety rules
- Wear appropriate Personal Protective equipment: steel toe boots, hard hats, safety, glasses, gloves and arm guards
- Participate in company training on Safety, Hazard Communication, Bloodborne pathogens, accident reporting and others
