Assistant Chief Controls Engineer - New Castle, IN
Job Description
Join our dynamic team in New Castle, IN, where we specialize in the manufacturing and assembly of car and motorcycle seats. As an Assistant Chief Controls Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our manufacturing operations by maintaining and enhancing our control systems.
Responsibilities
Maintain controls programs, hardware, and software to ensure optimal performance.
Independently lead software efforts for small development projects and initiatives.
Troubleshoot, repair, and implement countermeasures for electrical issues.
Ensure equipment compliance with safety regulations and standards.
Collaborate with team members on engineering projects to drive success.
Identify and implement efficiency improvements to enhance operations.
Resolve defects and change requests to improve product quality and functionality.
Essential Skills
At least two years of experience as a Controls Engineer.
Ability to write, modify, and troubleshoot PLC ladder logic (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron, Keyence).
Experience with Keyence and/or Cognex vision systems.
Prior supervision or leadership experience is required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with capital equipment, installation, and integration is advantageous.
Prior supervisory experience is a plus.
Work Environment
Work in a state-of-the-art, climate-controlled facility with 597 employees operating over three shifts. The facility features robotic welders and over 15 production lines. Enjoy a clean and quiet environment with a Monday to Friday, 2 PM to 10 PM shift schedule. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Castle, IN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $43.26/hr.
