Robert Half Accounts Receivable Clerk in New Castle, Delaware

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in New Castle, Delaware. This is a long-term contract position that requires working onsite, Monday through Friday, with an hour lunch break. The role involves processing customer payments, resolving account discrepancies, and maintaining accurate financial records while collaborating with various teams to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities:

• Post customer payments accurately and in a timely manner to maintain up-to-date account records.

• Investigate and resolve account discrepancies by conducting thorough research and reconciliation.

• Scan and deposit payments into the bank while ensuring all transactions are documented properly.

• Maintain detailed notes of all account-related communications within the Sapphire system.

• Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, warehouse staff, customer service, and drivers, to address and resolve outstanding balances.

• Partner with the National Call Center to manage collections and resolve customer issues.

• Utilize Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Word, and Outlook to perform day-to-day tasks efficiently.

• Act as a liaison between departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to accounts receivable processes. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts receivable or a similar financial role.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail for resolving account discrepancies.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

• Familiarity with payment processing and financial systems, such as Sapphire, is a plus.

• Customer service experience, particularly in resolving disputes and managing collections.

• Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
