Job Title: Cable Installation Technician (Data Center Infrastructure)
Location: Onsite – New Carlisle, IN
Contract Duration: 6–24 months
Pay Rate: $23.50/hr (W2)
Schedule: Wednesday – Saturday | 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (10‑hour shifts)
Job Overview
We are seeking an Infrastructure Delivery Cable Installation Technician to support data center operations in New Carlisle, IN. This is a hands‑on role focused on structured cabling, hardware installation, and basic task documentation in a data center environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
Install and troubleshoot copper and fiber cabling (patch panels, patch cords, cable routing)
Rack, stack, label, and install servers, switches, and network equipment
Follow standard cabling and data center installation practices
Move and organize IT equipment and materials
Update work orders and task status using ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Jira)
Communicate with internal teams and vendors
Keep work areas clean and safe
Must‑Have Skills
Hands‑on structured cabling experience (copper and fiber)
Experience installing IT hardware in a data center or similar environment
Comfortable using ticketing systems and basic communication tools (email, Slack)
Basic Qualifications
1+ year of experience in cabling, IT infrastructure, or related hands‑on role
Familiar with cable management, racks, and IT equipment
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform physical work (ladders, racks, job sites)
Willing to work onsite and occasional after‑hours support
High school diploma or GED (certifications are a plus, not required)
