Honeywell Solution Consultant - Rail in New Cairo, Egypt
As a Solution Consultant – Rail at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in supporting rail opportunities across the META region (Middle East, Turkey, and Africa).
You will be responsible for developing technically compliant, integrated solutions combining Honeywell’s core Building Automation portfolio (BMS, Fire, Security, ELV) with relevant third-party systems within rail and large infrastructure environments.
The role requires strong system-level thinking, technical bid ownership, and the ability to position integrated solutions in complex project environments.
You will work closely with Sales, Engineering, and Estimation teams to develop solution architectures, prepare technical proposals, and support customer-facing engagements.
You will report functionally to the Rail Vertical Leader and matrix to the Solution Consulting organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Analyze EOI/RFP technical requirements and lead compliance mapping
• Develop solution architecture integrating Honeywell core systems with third-party subsystems
• Define system integration approach, interfaces, and data exchange concepts
• Prepare technical proposals, system descriptions, and architecture documentation
• Lead technical bid responses in coordination with estimation and engineering teams
• Support value engineering and scope optimization during bid phase
• Conduct technical workshops and customer presentations
• Collaborate with internal engineering teams to ensure solution feasibility and alignment
• Provide technical guidance to sales during opportunity qualification
• Stay updated on rail and infrastructure integration standards and best practices
• Ability to travel up to 50%
YOU MUST HAVE
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Communications, or related Engineering field
• 6–10 years of experience in rail, SCADA, infrastructure systems, or system integration
• Proven experience in technical bid preparation for complex infrastructure projects
• Strong understanding of system integration concepts and architecture
• Experience integrating BMS, Fire, Security, ELV, or similar systems in multi-system environments
• Familiarity with common communication protocols (BACnet, Modbus, OPC, API, SNMP, etc.)
• Ability to interpret complex specifications and translate them into structured technical solutions
• Strong documentation and technical writing skills
