Posting SummaryRutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Research Project Manager for the Rutgers Center for State Health Policy (Center/CSHP) within the Institute for Health, Health Care Policy, and Aging Research (IFH). This position requires advanced research, community engagement and project coordination skills and will support the Center's broad health services research portfolio. The Research Project Manager will be given the opportunity to participate in policy meetings with senior state officials, as appropriate, and will be introduced to a broad array of health policy stakeholders in New Jersey. The Research Project Manager will oversee community-engaged and community-partnered activities across projects. The Research Project Manager is expected to provide ongoing support and engagement across projects, working directly with the Director to ensure funding for their role and team members. This includes developing projections for future project activity and identifying anticipated revenue sources.The position requires high-level analytic skills as well as expertise in partnership/coalition building. The position has extensive scope for independent judgment in assuming responsibility for high level project management, policy analysis, proposal development and developing and maintaining impactful relationships with a broad array of stakeholder and community constituencies. Among the key duties of this position are the following:- Leads planning and engagement with key stakeholder communities, including those representing the interests of populations with neuro divergent conditions.- Identifies partners, creates new and maintains existing relationships, and fosters communication in these relationships that focuses on research that positively impacts communities and populations of interest.- Contributes to the scientific and academic impact of CSHP's intellectual/developmental disability related initiatives by organizing and managing stakeholder engagement and leading and contributing to proposals & manuscripts.- Identifies and pursues training activities to maximize exposure to opportunities for CSHP to build trust with community partners.- Oversees the development of new initiatives, including hubs of resources and consultative support contracts, as well as interfaces with experts in the field.- Drafts analytic sections of grant and contract applications including evaluation designs.- Provides project management oversight to assure timely completion of analytic deliverables.- Serves as primary/secondary author for refereed publications of original, high-quality scholarship.- Presents academic research findings at appropriate scholarly and professional meetings usually at the national level.- Collaborates on development of dissemination documents to communicate research results to broad audiences for maximum impact.
