CDC Material Handler, 2nd Shift

Your responsibilities
Operate powered industrial trucks to load, unload and move product to and from trucks, storage, loading docks, and production. Responsible for safe and accurate movement of materials loading and unloading product that is shipped and/or received. This position also supports the production process with product. As a Material Handler, it will be your responsibility to follow and abide by all BSH rules and procedures to the best of your ability.
Safely operates industrial lift truck, manual pallet jacks, tuggers and other forms of material handling equipment within the manufacturing facility.
Maintains material handling equipment including electronic computers, mechanical scales, doors, door locks, door levelers, battery chargers and related equipment.
Loads materials into vehicles, containers, and other forms of transportation installing strapping, bracing or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
Conveys materials from storage to designated staging areas and records serial numbers using the correct lifting apparatus for the designated product.
Follows written or oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved in a timely, scheduled manner to the customer.
Unloads and sorts materials from trailers and locate in the warehouse, either by directed put away or open location.
Order picks and records number of units of materials moved or handled on a pick ticket.
Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, boxes or other containers.
Lifts heavy objects by hand or with handling equipment and cleans work area, machines and equipment.
Palletize and wrap product for shipping.
Completes PM sheets for his/her lift before each shift and reports any issues immediately
Report all warehouse damages
Segregate all quality holds to insure they are not shipped to the customer
Performs all other duties assigned
Your profile
High-School Diploma - Required
0-2 Years of Experience (Warehouse experience) - Required
Ability to work without constant supervision and the ability to think and act independently.
Ability to use packaged software on PC based computer system (data entry).
Ability to safely operate various kinds of material handling equipment (light duty fork lifts, pallet jacks, dock levers, etc.)
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
Demonstrable understanding of material flow and inventory control
PC, telephone, calculator, light duty forklift.
