Independent Living Home Care Agency Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Part-time in New Bern, North Carolina
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including inpatient and outpatient environments. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, adherence to HIPAA regulations, and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals. The Nursing Assistant will be responsible for assisting with daily living activities, monitoring patient health, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for all patients.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
- Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes in patient conditions to nursing staff.
- Provide support in medication administration under the supervision of registered nurses.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of patient rooms and common areas.
- Assist in transporting patients within the facility as needed.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy.
- Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Utilize electronic health record systems such as Epic for documentation and communication.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Nursing Assistant training program preferred.
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant or equivalent is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of physiology and basic medical terminology is beneficial.
- Experience in pediatrics or working in a hospital setting is an advantage.
- Familiarity with outpatient care practices is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and families.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Must be able to pass background checks as required by healthcare regulations.
