We are seeking a skilled Weld Engineer to design and develop welding procedures and specifications. The ideal candidate will select appropriate welding techniques, equipment, and materials, inspect welded components for quality and compliance, and collaborate with design, production, and quality teams. You will troubleshoot welding defects and recommend improvements while maintaining documentation for traceability and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities

Essential Skills
Strong knowledge of welding processes such as MIG, TIG, SMAW, and FCAW.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in welding engineering.
Understanding of metallurgy and proficiency with CAD tools.
Familiarity with AWS standards.
Bachelor’s degree in Welding Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Certifications such as CWI (Certified Welding Inspector) or CWEng (Certified Welding Engineer) are highly valued.
Work Environment
This position is based in New Berlin with an office on-site at a facility in Waukesha. The work environment is collaborative, requiring interaction with various teams across the company.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Berlin, WI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $83.25 - $99.90/hr.
