SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Warehouse Shift Lead will serve as a key member to provide leadership, support, and efficiently pull product and load trailers to ensure accuracy of customer shipments and internal raw material transfers. In support of the Radius Packaging’s quest for innovation, the Warehouse Shift Lead will strive to improve their work, our team, and our environment through genuine teamwork, a positive attitude, and open communication, using a safe, practical, hands-on approach.

JOB DUTIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.

· Accurate loading of customer shipments following loading WP’s and customer requests without damaging product.

· Load, unload, move, stack, and stage the finished goods.

· Provide leadership to the shift they lead, direction of work, and support.

· Assist Warehouse Manager in yearly performance reviews and corrective actions.

· Knowledge and adherence to our raw material receiving and internal transfer procedures.

· Complete pre-shift forklift inspection/maintenance and use material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, and clamps) to maneuver pallets throughout the warehouse.

· Strictly adhere to the Food Grade requirements, including trailer inspections and 100% wrapped and sealed pallets.

· Utilize space to maximize warehouse storage capacity while operating safely.

· Work safely, following all safety policies and proactively participating in the safe work of others and the safety of the overall environment.

· Communicate process improvements related to warehouse productivity or safety to warehouse leadership.

· Assist the Inventory Associate when required (see Inventory Associate LSW) Cross Training Program.

· Perform other miscellaneous support work to enable the team to be successful and as requested by warehouse leadership.

· Use RF scanners to disposition finished goods into inventory and track to location-controlled staging areas.

· Verify labels on all finished goods to move units to staging area.

· Work with the team to ensure packaging standards are being met before removing product off the production floor.

· Follow all safety procedures to keep a clean area in our active, fast-paced, team environment.

· Communicate openly with leadership and teammates in a positive manner.

· Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned and contribute to improvements.

· Compliance to GMP, Food Safety, and Food Quality regulations as required by the company, customers, and/or government agencies

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES):

· High School diploma or GED.

· Must be 18 years or older.

· 1 year of a leadership role.

· 1 year of warehouse loading & unloading required.

· 1 year of forklift experience preferred but willing to train (sit-down clamp truck is a plus).

· Ability to use RF equipment for real time inventory movement and accuracy.

· Exhibit excellent decision-making skills.

· Ability to work independently with little supervision.

· Demonstrated capability in basic math and measurement.

· Ability to follow guidelines independently and work as part of a cohesive production team.

· Familiarity with warehouse software systems, basic business computer applications and mobile device applications.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time and lift/carry up to 30 to 50 pounds.

· Must be able to use fingers, hands, and arms for regular tasks.

· Must be able to climb steps, have a good hand-eye coordination, and bend/squat.

· Must be able to wear proper Personal Protective Equipment.

· Must be able to operate effectively in temperatures ranging from 60 to 110 F.

· Must be capable of visually detecting defects, depth, colors, variances, and see objects.
