This Position reports to:Product Engineering & Quality Manager In this role, you will play a pivotal role in the design and development of Medium Voltage (MV) drive cabinets within the Motion High Power (System Drives) business, located in New Berlin, Wisconsin. In this position, you will collaborate closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure that designs are optimized for production efficiency, quality, and compliance, supporting both innovation and local manufacturing success. The work model for the role is: Hybrid; New Berlin, WI This role is contributing to the Motion High Power Division. Your role and responsibilities: Create 3D CAD models and detailed engineering drawings for inverter cabinets, and mechanical parts. Develop sheet metal, plastic, and machined components with a focus on manufacturability and cost efficiency. Ensure designs meet structural, thermal, and environmental requirements. Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturing teams to validate feasibility and optimize production processes. Support cross-functional teams during prototype builds and product testing. Perform tolerance analysis, clearance distance and thermal simulations for drives components. Participate in design reviews, failure mode analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
