Actalent Laboratory Technician-2nd Shift in NEW BERLIN, Wisconsin

Job Title: Laboratory Technician - 2nd ShiftJob Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our team on a full-time basis. This position offers an opportunity to work four 10-hour shifts per week, specifically on the 2nd shift from Wednesday to Saturday, with hours from 12 pm to 10:30 pm, and an 11 am start on Saturdays. This role provides an excellent platform for gaining hands-on experience in a rapidly growing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct micro lab testing approximately 80% to 90% of the time.

  • Perform tasks such as documentation, cleaning, and other remedial duties for 1 to 2 hours daily.

  • Utilize lab equipment and techniques including biology, plating, and pipetting.

  • Work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Participate in cross-training opportunities and expand expertise within the lab.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in biology and microbiology techniques.

  • Experience with lab equipment and plating.

  • Skill in pipetting and other laboratory procedures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Degree in the Sciences.

  • Ability to work independently and efficiently.

Work Environment

The role is based in a laboratory environment where the individual will perform micro lab testing for the majority of their working hours. The remaining time will involve tasks such as documentation and cleaning. This position is part of a national company with opportunities for career growth and relocation. The atmosphere supports cross-training and skill development. The dress code is typical for a laboratory setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of NEW BERLIN, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
