Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in New Berlin, Wisconsin
Description We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in New Berlin, Wisconsin. This role is essential in supporting the accounting department during a high-volume period, with responsibilities focused on ensuring accurate and efficient invoice processing. Responsibilities:
• Process full-cycle accounts payable, including three-way matching of purchase orders, packing slips, and invoices.
• Review and validate invoices for accuracy, appropriate documentation, and pricing compliance.
• Retrieve and manage invoices using vendor portals.
• Upload and verify invoices within the accounts payable system to ensure prompt payment processing.
• Maintain organized and accurate records to comply with internal controls and auditing requirements.
• Assist with basic accounts receivable tasks, such as cash applications and bank reconciliations, as needed.
• Manage approximately 10–20 invoices daily, with a significant increase in volume during peak periods.
• Adapt to a manual accounts payable environment by maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable, with knowledge of full-cycle AP processes.
• Proficiency in three-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and packing slips.
• Ability to excel in a high-volume, manual processing environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all tasks.
• Familiarity with vendor portals for invoice management.
• Experience with accounting systems such as ServiceTitan and Sage Intacct is preferred.
• Basic understanding of Excel functions and data exports.
• Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
