SUMMARY: This position is responsible for mixing, pouring, and curing the proper compound as described in the curing work instructions; and performing all necessary functions for the proper setups and operations as shown on specification sheets. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: ? Operate mixing apparatus to combine compound. ? Operate hydraulic presses and tools to cure a wide variety of elastacast parts. ? Trim and inspect product. Measure product dimensions. ? Fill out production sheets and travelers. ? Navigate through software and enter data on PC. ? Maintain work area and keep equipment clean and orderly; understand and maintain all safety requirements within the department and Company. ? Report any unusual conditions to supervisor. ? Perform other duties as required or requested. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES: ? None EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: ? High School graduate or equivalent; or 1 to 3 months in work related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. QUALIFICATIONS: ? Must be able to read, write and speak in English. ? Must possess basic math skills. ? Must possess some mechanical abilities to properly use hand and power tools. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: ? Work environment consist of manufacturing area which may have exposure to noise, heat, smells or chemicals. ? Work near moving mechanical parts over 2/3 of the time. ? Exposed to fumes or airborne particles up to 1/3 of the time. ? Exposed to toxic or caustic chemical up to 1/3 of the time. ? Exposed to loud noise over 2/3 of the time.
