High Point Treatment Center Admissions Coordinator in New Bedford, Massachusetts

Requirements Knowledge of medical and psychiatric terminology, Knowledge and skills related to basic computer software and the ability to utilize HPAO?s electronic health record (EHR), Demonstrated flexibility and ability to perform multiple tasks, An understanding of the relationship between substance use and mental health issues and/or self-help programs, An understanding of boundaries and ethics, Ability to problem solve, Ability to communicate verbally and in writing, Maintains a courteous and professional relationship with both internal and external and/or collateral sources, TB Screening, Confidentiality training (42 CFR, Part 2 and 45, CFR parts 160 and 164 HIPAA) Duties and responsibilities: Respond to telephone and email inquiries regarding admission to inpatient programs Schedule incoming clients for admission within the electronic health record (EHR) Track all Section 35 inquiries and determine placement based on court clinic recommendation Review the previous day Section 35 admissions to ensure completion and accuracy Manage internal movement requests, including ATS to CSS and CSS to TSS for all inpatient site locations as directed Monitor bed availability within the electronic health record (EHR) to identify additional program discharges Assign shift tasks to Admission Staff as needed or as instructed by the Supervisor Ensure the completion of daily shift tasks, reporting unfinished tasks to the Supervisor Consult with the Supervisor(s) regarding concerns with referrals for admission Consult with the Supervisor(s) regarding concerns with Admission Staff performance and/or identified training needs Assist with training and orientating new employees Provide support to Admission Staff during shift Attend mandatory training and supervision Utilize standard precaution at all times Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor/Admissions Manager and/or Director of Admissions Qualifications Associates/Bachelor?s/LADC-II Preferred or Equivalent Experience Preferred clinical substance abuse/mental health experience
