Project Manager Principal

Location: New Albany, Ohio (Onsite)

Employment Type: Contract

Target: $55-69/hour W2 based on years of experience

Role Overview

We are seeking a Project Manager Principal to manage one or more intermediate or complex projects within a matrix team environment. This role involves providing leadership, direction, and coordination to initiate, plan, execute, monitor, and close projects. The objective is to achieve short and long-range goals with a focus on safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct, coordinate, and manage assigned project activities.
• Support and hold employees and contractors accountable for safety, ensuring a safe working environment.
• Manage, develop, review, and coordinate the project plan, schedule, and budget.
• Effectively communicate project details and status updates to all stakeholders.
• Lead planning meetings and project updates, including stakeholder presentations.
• Develop and actively manage working relationships with the project team, contractors, vendors, and suppliers.
• Provide guidance, instruction, and training to improve design, systems, procedures, and processes.
• Supervise up to two employees as assigned, including performance planning and professional development.

Required Qualifications

Education: A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field with seven years of qualified experience, or an Associate's degree in the same disciplines with nine years of qualified experience.

Experience: Qualified experience must include work in utility and/or construction project management, major construction field experience, project estimating, project controls, or project engineering. Experience must demonstrate successful project management duties, business acumen, and responsibility for all PMI PMBOK knowledge areas. IT and Telecommunications project management experience will not qualify for these roles.

Certifications: A valid Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required. A valid state driver's license is also required.

Work Schedule and Travel

This position requires a 40-hour work week with a flexible schedule option of four 10-hour days or five 8-hour days. Occasional day trips to visit sites may be necessary, but overnight travel is not expected.
