Job Description
This position provides essential support for all electrical and mechanical challenges within a metal fabricating manufacturing shop. The role involves completing predictive and preventative maintenance work, managing machines, and leading projects to enhance equipment, facilities, and systems.
Responsibilities
Provide support for all electrical, mechanical, and technical problems to minimize production disruptions and downtime.
Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and diagnose a variety of electrical and mechanical equipment and components used in the manufacturing process.
Work with machinery including Perforators, CNC Turret Presses, Press Brakes, Routers, Welders, Drill Presses, Powder Booths, and Ovens.
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain various production machinery and equipment, including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and parts.
Install, modify, and relocate machinery and equipment, performing tasks such as fabrication, welding, mechanical, electrical, electronics, plumbing, and carpentry.
Repair and modify buildings and plant systems as needed.
Troubleshoot and repair components such as rolls, shafts, bearings, drive belts, drive chains, and gear boxes using basic mechanic's hand and power tools.
Troubleshoot and repair pumps, valves, and piping systems, including the installation of copper or PVC pipes.
Read and interpret manuals, schematics, blueprints, drawings, and other written installation and repair instructions.
Identify and complete predictive and preventative maintenance work and conduct weekly mechanical inspections.
Essential Skills
Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
Ability to repair components such as rolls, shafts, bearings, drive belts, drive chains, and gear boxes.
3+ years of experience in an industrial environment.
High-level experience troubleshooting manufacturing equipment.
Demonstrated skill in working with conveyors, mechanical drive systems, pumps, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
Ability to perform precision tasks including alignments using lasers, dial indicators, etc.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Albany, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
