Job Title: General Production Worker
Job Description
This role supports a first-shift production team by applying carbide and slurry-based cladding materials to parts according to standard operating procedures and engineering drawings. The position involves operating within a clean, organized manufacturing environment, using measuring instruments and computer systems to ensure accurate, high-quality work. The General Production Worker contributes directly to the creation of wear-resistant solutions used in demanding applications.
Responsibilities
Apply carbide and braze cloths in accordance with standard operating procedures and engineering drawings.
Use measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and tape measures to verify cloth thickness, placement, and trimming requirements.
Safely handle and use sharp instruments, including razor blades and trimming tools, following all safety guidelines.
Perform basic math calculations to support manual and digital order processing.
Navigate various computer platforms to access work instructions, drawings, job confirmations, and related production documentation.
Use Excel spreadsheets proficiently to record, track, and maintain production and quality data.
Follow detailed recipes to prepare slurry base cladding mixes to specified standards.
Apply slurry to a variety of part geometries while maintaining required slurry quality characteristics.
Operate production and machine equipment in a manufacturing environment, including tasks related to general production, assembly, packaging, and general labor.
Push and pull carts weighing up to 100 pounds as part of material handling and workflow support.
Oversee multiple furnaces, monitoring time and temperature settings to ensure proper operation and product quality.
Demonstrate mechanical aptitude when working with tools, equipment, and production machinery.
Manage time effectively to meet production schedules and support weekly overtime as needed.
Essential Skills
High school diploma or GED.
Three to five years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with machine operation in a production or manufacturing setting.
Ability to push and pull up to 100 pounds on carts safely and consistently.
Ability to oversee and monitor multiple furnaces, including time and temperature settings.
Proficient use of measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and tape measures.
Ability to perform basic math calculations for order processing and production tasks.
Proficient use of Excel spreadsheets for recording and managing data.
Ability to navigate various computer platforms to access work instructions, drawings, and job confirmations.
Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with production machinery and tools.
Self-motivated with strong time management skills.
Ability to work weekly overtime as needed.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
