Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Neenah, Wisconsin
Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join a team in Neenah, Wisconsin. In this role, you will play a key part in managing invoice processing, account reconciliation, and maintaining accurate financial records. This position offers a collaborative work environment with opportunities for growth and development.
Responsibilities:
• Process a high volume of invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely entry into the accounting system.
• Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies by working closely with vendors and internal teams.
• Generate financial reports and maintain detailed records of transactions.
• Manage sales tax entries and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
• Update and maintain vendor accounts, including adding new information as needed.
• Assist with general accounting tasks, such as bank reconciliations, daily deposits, and general journal entries.
• Support the team in handling accounts receivable and invoicing when required.
• Work with multiple entities to streamline and coordinate financial operations.
• Ensure all financial documents, such as invoices and receipts, are properly filed and organized electronically.
• Communicate effectively with team members and external stakeholders to address payment-related inquiries.
Requirements
• Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar accounting role.
• Familiarity with accounting software.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other standard office software.
• Strong understanding of account reconciliation and general bookkeeping principles.
• Experience handling sales tax and related compliance tasks.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple responsibilities.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
