Honeywell Sr HSE Engineer in Nebraska City, Nebraska
As a Senior HSE Engineer here at Honeywell, you will serve as a functional HSE expert, providing Environmental & Safety leadership and technical support to the facility. In this role, you will impact our organization by overseeing the development and implementation of health, safety, and environmental programs that ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards. Your ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders will ensure that HSE considerations are integrated into business processes and decision-making, contributing to the overall success and reputation of our business as a responsible and sustainable organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Management and continual improvement of Environmental programs including wastewater, hazardous waste, air emissions and storm water compliance.
Assist in administering the Honeywell Health, Safety, Environmental Management System.
Provide technical assistance regarding health, safety, environmental compliance requirements.
Integrate HSE processes and safe work practices into daily operations.
Drive Excellence and engagement in HSE through management, leadership and employee involvement, worksite risk assessments, hazard prevention and control, and HSE training.
Develop and implement environmental and safety programs to maintain compliance with all HSE regulatory and company requirements.
Deploy and manage environmental and safety initiatives to continually improve performance of Environmental programs and processes.
Oversight and project management of environmental capital projects.
Perform site aspect and impact maturity assessments of the HSE management system.
Measure key HSE indicators and implement plans to address gaps.
YOU MUST HAVE
3+ years of progressive safety, health, and environmental experience.
In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices.
Experience with HSE Management systems and compliance tools.
WE VALUE
Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, engineering, environmental science, or a related field highly preferred.
Experience in a manufacturing environment.
Environmental Compliance experience, especially Hazardous Waste management experience.
Bilingual (Spanish) skills at an intermediate conversational proficiency.
Past experience implementing and sustaining HSE management systems (ISO 14001/45001).
ASP (Associate Safety Professional), CSP (Certified Safety Professional), or other similar certifications.
Passion for promoting a culture of safety and environmental stewardship.
Strong business acumen and ability to align HSE engineering with organizational goals.
