NOV Quality Control -Final Line Inspector in Navasota, Texas
A Final Inspector visually inspects the finished, welded, or machined assemblies for compliance with the order requirements.
JOB DUTIES:
Must be able to do extensive walking, bending, stooping, and moderate to heavy lifting 8 - 12 hours per day.
Interpret results from inspections and communicate findings effectively and appropriately to production personnel.
Record the number of welded or machined ends inspected and specific non-conformances by categories for daily reporting purposes.
Serialize material utilizing a hammer and various steel stamps.
Accurately read and interpret product drawings to determine acceptance criteria.
Accurately use measuring equipment (i.e., dial calipers, micrometers, pit gauges, etc.) and interpret results to determine product acceptance
Must be able to stand and work in adverse conditions (outside in all types of weather or inside in a manufacturing environment) for a minimum of 8 hours.
Use simple measuring instruments (tape measure, caliper, etc.).
Comply with all NOV, company, and HSE policies and procedures
QUALIFICATIONS:
A High School diploma or equivalent required
Must pass screening exam (math and reading comprehension) with a minimum score of 80%
Basic computer skills required.
Must be able to pass an Industrial Eye exam with near visual acuity
