Naval Supply Systems Command FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in Naval Support Activity, Pennsylvania
Summary You will serve as a Financial Management Analyst of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT. Responsibilities You will serve as an expert on the Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (NERP) accounting system and provide technical guidance on the financial, procurement, and inventory systems used by the department. You will support Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) financial audits by compiling documentation, validating supporting records and responding to audit requests within established timelines You will analyze detailed transaction data to ensure amounts are correct, complete, properly recorded for financial reporting You will coordinate with Accountants and Financial Management Analysts in the Material Accountability Department to discuss problems and resolutions for system issues. You will monitor and reduce aged payables and dormant obligations through data analytics and cross-functional coordination with contracting and logistics stakeholders. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following, Advising or administering, supervising, or performing professional accounting work that requires application of accounting theories, concepts, principles, and standards to the financial activities of governmental, quasigovernmental, or private sector organizations. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Devising solutions to accounting problems by developing and/or modifying accounting methods and techniques; 2) Applying standard accounting principles, theories, techniques and procedures to cases where little or no precedent information exists; 3) Advising and assisting on matters of complex accounting issues by gathering, assembling, consolidating, and analyzing facts; 4) Performing oral and written communication pertaining to highly complex financial, procurement, or inventory issues.
