Summary You will serve as an Engineering Technician (Nuclear) in the Nuclear Material Ordering Branch (NMOG) (2305.3), Nuclear Material Manager Division, Nuclear Engineering and Planning Department of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD. Responsibilities You will provide support to other engineers for technical accuracy, adequacy, and timely execution on work related projects. You will recommend designs and process modifications to eliminate malfunctions or improve performance. You will coordinate technical work phases and ensure orderly and timely flow of information, productive effort and job completion. You will resolve operational and maintenance issues with ships and shipyard personnel. You will represent the shipyard in outside activities and matters pertaining to assigned projects. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience utilizing ADP applications: AIM, MAT, MRQT and Logi Quest/Haystack. Experience with supply logistics, requisitioning, expediting and segregation as it pertains to material requirements. Experience resolving Cognizant Engineer, Inspection, Stock System and Vendor technical material issues. Experience reviewing non-deviational specifications, technical drawings, manuals, material, equipment, hazardous material, quality assurance inspections and test equipment as they pertain to technical material quality and NAVSEA requirements. Experience reading, researching and interpreting Technical Work Documents (TWD's), Deficiency Reports (DRs) and Deficiency Logs (DLs).
