U.S. Pacific Fleet, Commander in Chief SECURITY SPECIALIST in Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, Washington

Summary You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST of COMMANDER, PATROL WING 10. Responsibilities You will provide EKMS/KMI program support, planning and evaluation for CPRW-10, and EKMS/KMI Local Elements, locally and forward deployed. You will work closely with and provide support to CPRW-10 special access programs (SAPs) based as required by the CPRW-10 Command Security Manager (CSM). You will act as liaison representative for Commanding Officer, CPRW-10, in all matters pertaining to EKMS/KMI. You will acquire, monitor, and maintain the CPRW-10 EKMS/KMI material allowance and conduct an annual review of all EKMS/KMI material holdings You will develop, coordinate and implement written guidance for CPRW-10 and Local Element EKMS/KMI policy and procedures, with particular emphasis on accountability, Two Person Integrity (TPI), security, and identification of improper practices. You will analyze CPRW-10 and Local Element incidents that occur, assesses any damage caused by the incident, and takes appropriate actions to minimize future occurrences and any adverse effects on national security. You will develop, coordinate and maintain the EKMS/KMI Emergency Action Plan (EAP). You will provide guidance and technical assistance to Local Elements in developing their EAPs. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector developing and implementing the safeguarding of Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), developing security policies for security program management and providing protection, storage and destruction of sensitive compartmented information for a security program.
