Ford Motor Company Supplier Risk Management & Contingency (FCSD) in Naucalpan de Juárez, Mexico

As the Supplier Risk Management & Contingency (FCSD), you will have a position for the FCSD purchasing organization. In this role, you will manage Financial Distressed suppliers, Supplier disruptions and emergency supply disruption by coordinating with the cross functional teams the commercial plans to mitigate risk impact and supporting FCSD regular buyers with resourcing strategies.

Procurement:

  • Review and assess the adequate commercial plan for each service part number

  • Coordinate and support FCSD regular buyer the resourcing plan

  • Act as a single point of contact with cross functional teams

  • Project Management of the Distressed Suppliers Contingency Plan

  • Communicate to cross functional team the Distressed suppliers, Supplier disruptions and emergency supplies

  • Reduce the risk impact

  • Work with FCSD Quality team to understand current situation. Production capabilities and tooling status

  • Manage tooling disposition of distressed suppliers

  • Work together with Product Category Management team to define the adequate commercial plan of each service part and adequate volumes for abnormal buys

  • Distressed Supplier Process Improvement

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with various departments, including marketing and sales organizations, supply chain, engineering, implementation team, & finance to ensure process improvements align with company objectives and business needs.

  • Linkage with other functional areas to ensure Contingency and Resourcing plans are executed in timely manner

You'll have...

  • Bachelor’s degree (Business, Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain).

  • Strong English Proficiency (written, read, and oral).

  • 5+ years Purchasing and Project Management experience

  • Established and successful track record of managing complex programs

  • Excellent project management skills to deliver to most effective plan optimizing costs for Ford

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels

  • Great critical thinking skills so you are capable to analyze where you're at and what needs to be done

  • High stress fast paced environment, multitasking

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite

  • Basic Automotive engineering knowledge

  • Presentation skills (being able to present complex information in a clear, simplified way)

  • Automotive background
