Job Description :

GENERAL OVERVIEW:

This job functions as administrative liaison between staff, patients, physicians, families, other hospital departments, and outside agencies.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Facilitates the patient flow process while ensuring quality patient care in a cost effective manner. (25%)

  • Assists in human resource activities such as interviews, evaluations, disciplines. (10%)

  • Directs patient care activities including quality/performance initiatives and proper staff assignments. (25%)

  • Performs the job duties of the staff RN. (20%)

  • Establishes, monitors and adheres to annual operating budget. (10%)

  • Maintains consistent readiness and ensures department compliance for regulatory agencies. (10%)

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum

  • Current State of PA RN licensure OR Current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC)

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing or relevant experience and/or education as determined by the company in lieu of bachelor's degree.

  • 2 years medical/surgical nursing experience

  • 5 years critical care nursing experience

  • CPR – American Heart Association

  • Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate

  • Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate

  • Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate

Preferred

  • Certified Radiology Nurse

  • Radiology experience

  • Management experience
