Brief Description:
Inspect parts to national standards, military prints and/or customer prints. Review specifications and certifications. Process raw material on manufacturing orders (travelers). Identify and and handle calibration of all equipment, as necessary.
Job Responsibilities:
Ensure defect free shipments to our customers while complying with the stated company policy.
Perform visual and dimensional inspection of all items received from suppliers and sub-contractors in accordance with applicable quality levels.
Perform final inspections of customer’s orders as required by applicable quality levels.
Review all certifications, as necessary, against all applicable specifications.
Manage all testing instruments and calibration records, under the supervision of the Quality Manager and/or Senior Quality Inspector.
Generate non-conforming reports under the supervision of the Quality Manager.
Process material on manufacturing work orders through all respective operations for upgrade, as necessary.
Communicate with suppliers on inspection issues and offer guidance on processing instructions, as applicable.
Utilize handheld precision tools (calipers, ring gages, plug gages, etc.) to verify tolerances
Interpret ASTM, ASME, SAE, and ISO standards, training provided.
Education/Credentials:
High School diploma or equivalent and/or previous experience in basic mechanical dimensional inspection required (or in-house training will be provided)
Good communication skills, written and verbal, required
Ability to calculate basic mathematical equations
Able to read, write, and speak the English language
Ability to work efficiently and accurately
Able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Work Hours: 8am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday
Hourly Pay: $20.00
