Location: South County SELPA (Multiple Districts)
Schedule: Weekdays | 8-hour shifts | 40 hours/week
Contract Length: 4 months

Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide school-based therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. This role involves delivering treatment, gathering standardized assessment data, implementing therapy programs, and completing documentation according to the established plan of care.
This position will float throughout all districts within the South County SELPA, with no more than one district per day. No IEP meeting attendance is required. Assignment runs through the end of the school year with the possibility of extension into the next school year.
Key Responsibilities
Provide occupational therapy services under OT supervision
Implement treatment plans and therapeutic activities
Assist with standardized assessment data collection
Maintain accurate and timely documentation
Support student functional and educational access needs
Collaborate with school teams as needed (no IEP meetings required)
Minimum Requirements
Current COTA certification or licensure in the state of practice
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
One (1) year of COTA experience preferred
Pediatric or school-based experience preferred
Compliance with professional standards of practice
Current CPR (if applicable)
TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (as required)
Current Health Certificate (per contract or regulation)
Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements
Must be 18 years of age or older
Schools experience preferred
Pay PackageLocal COTA | 2025–2026
Pay Rate: $45/hr
Total Weekly Pay Package: $1,800
Travel COTA | Spring 2026
Pay Rate: $19/hr
Meals: $500/week
Housing: $1,000/week
Total Weekly Pay Package: $2,260
