Job Title: Production Technician

Job Description

As a Production Technician, you will operate centerless grinders, cut‑off machines, and other metal‑processing equipment. You will set up, adjust, and maintain grinding machinery to achieve the required dimensions and surface finishes. Precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, and other inspection tools are integral to this role. Handling stainless‑steel tubing of various diameters, you will ensure accuracy and consistency throughout production. Monitoring equipment performance and identifying issues such as wheel wear, alignment problems, or material inconsistencies will be key tasks. You will maintain accurate production records, including measurements, batch information, and quality checks. Following detailed work instructions, engineering drawings, and process specifications is essential. You will collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet daily production goals and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company and OSHA standards.

Responsibilities

Essential Skills

  • Experience in manufacturing, machining, grinding, or metalworking.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurement specifications.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with precision tools.

  • Good hand‑eye coordination and attention to detail.

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and handle repetitive tasks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Willingness to learn specialized processes unique to the production environment.

  • Prior experience with centerless grinding or small‑diameter tubing.

  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices.

  • Basic understanding of machine maintenance and troubleshooting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Natick, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
