Description:
Shuang Ba is the signature Chinese fine-dining experience at Grand Hyatt Baha Mar, known for its deep respect for Chinese culinary traditions, refined service, and immersive cultural storytelling. We are seeking a Restaurant General Manager who brings both operational excellence and cultural understanding—someone who can uphold the authenticity of Shuang Ba while delivering the elevated hospitality expected across Hyatt.
This leader will serve as the operational and cultural ambassador of the restaurant, ensuring that every detail reflects the spirit of Chinese tradition and the warmth of Hyatt hospitality.
Responsibilities
Guest Experience
• Ensure a consistently exceptional and culturally authentic dining experience for all guests.
• Maintain strong knowledge of Chinese dining customs, service etiquette, tea traditions, and culinary styles.
• Support the team in delivering personalized, intuitive service aligned with Hyatt brand standards.
Operational Leadership
• Oversee daily restaurant operations with a focus on efficiency, consistency, and quality.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Partner with culinary leadership to maintain menu integrity and service flow.
Team Leadership & Development
• Recruit, train, and mentor colleagues with an emphasis on cultural awareness and luxury service.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing team culture.
• Provide ongoing coaching to support colleague growth and engagement.
Financial Management
• Manage budgets, forecasting, cost controls, and financial performance.
• Identify opportunities to drive revenue, enhance profitability, and improve operational processes.
• Analyze key performance indicators and implement action plans as needed.
Collaboration
• Work closely with the Executive Chef, Food & Beverage leadership, and hotel management to align on goals and guest experience standards.
• Communicate effectively across departments to support seamless operations.
Qualifications:
Full Time Management Position that requires full flexibility, ability to work weekends and holidays and a varied schedule
A true desire to understand and anticipate the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
Refined verbal and written communication skills
Must be proficient in general computer knowledge, including a working knowledge of point of sale systems
Candidates should be extremely detail oriented and organized
Candidates should possess proven leadership skills
Previous experience as a Restaurant General Manager or senior leadership role in a luxury or fine-dining environment.
Strong understanding of Chinese culture, dining traditions, and service etiquette.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate diverse teams.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities.
Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets and KPIs.
Passion for hospitality and delivering meaningful guest experiences.
