BrandSafway Site Safety Lead in Nashwauk, Minnesota
Position Overview:
Site Safety Lead will be responsible for overseeing and implementing safety, health, and environmental programs at assigned job site. This role will supervise Site Safety Technicians. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders. This role will offer daily per diem.
Key Responsibilities:
Participate in the daily toolbox talk.
Communicate trends and incidents.
Support in the development of JSP for high-risk activities happen daily.
Review and assess all active jobs and provide coaching as needed.
Complete daily step card, select different crews if available.
Complete a daily 2 SOS, select different crews if available.
Complete 2 good catch/near hit cards and submit daily.
Attend the daily close meeting.
Knowledgeable on RCRA hazardous waste regulations and IATA.
Knowledgeable in Machine tool operation and guarding.
Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses at the job site.
Assist Area EHS Manager to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to job site EHS activities, including inspections, training, and incident reports.
Complete Certified Safe Leader training within 3 months of hire.
Complete Certified Facilitator training.
Facilitate & participate in emergency response planning and drills.
Qualifications:
3–5 years of safety experience in construction, mining, or in a heavy industrial setting
MSHA part 46 or part 48 training highly preferred
OSHA 30 construction certification or greater
HSA Certification or greater
1st Aid/CPR and AED trained
