Restorative Aide Job Duties
A restorative aide typically has a wide range of responsibilities, which can include:
Providing safe and caring environments for patients, by following infection control procedures such as hand washing and sterilizing equipment
Maintaining a clean environment by cleaning floors, walls, and other surfaces
Performing clerical tasks such as maintaining patient charts or filing paperwork
Preparing patients for examinations or treatments by bathing them, shaving them, or applying lotions or makeup
Assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, feeding, grooming, and assisting with mobility
Coordinating with social workers and other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive proper treatment plans
Providing support to patients with dementia by monitoring their behavior and communicating with family members about changes in behavior patterns
