Actalent Lab Technician in Nashville, Tennessee

Job Title: Lab TechnicianJob Description

Join a dynamic and innovative team at a US-based, quality-driven Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) that offers comprehensive drug research and development services. Our client provides end-to-end drug development solutions including cGMP laboratory services and sterile fill/finish cGMP manufacturing, catering to clients of all sizes and stages. The focus areas include sterile injectables, topicals, high-complexity formulations, poorly soluble & highly viscous compounds, and uncommon container sizes & fill volumes.

Responsibilities

  • Perform environmental monitoring in ISO Class 5, 6, 7, & 8 environments.

  • Support microbiology laboratory operations.

  • Investigate and troubleshoot equipment, testing, and process abnormalities.

  • Perform biological assays of raw materials, in-process samples, and drug products.

  • Prepare and present data summaries.

  • Accurately document all necessary and relevant information in a clear and concise manner per cGMPs.

  • Author, revise, and review standard operating procedures, test methods, work instructions, and protocols.

  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe laboratory work area.

  • Assist in the development of microbiological laboratory testing procedures.

Essential Skills

  • B.A./B.S in Biology, Chemistry, or related scientific field of study preferred.

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • Work in a team environment with well-developed interpersonal skills and excellent organizational skills.

  • Self-starter and ability to work independently.

  • Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of microbial enumeration testing, environmental monitoring of ISO classified environments, and bacterial endotoxin testing (preferred, not required).

  • Working knowledge of cGMP, FDA, ICH, USP, and other regional and country-specific guidance (preferred, not required).

Work Environment

The lab environment is FDA regulated, clean, and located in a new facility. You will be on your feet in the lab, working under a hood prepping samples. The company is headquartered in Nashville, TN, one of the fastest-growing and most exciting cities in the United States. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nashville, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr.
