Residential Security Service Technician
Location: Nashville, TN

Position Overview
We are seeking a Residential Security Service Technician to perform routine and emergency service calls for residential security systems. This role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing security equipment while delivering high‑quality customer service. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, technically strong, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Ability to replace equipment and perform minor to moderate troubleshooting

Must have experience using a multimeter to trace and diagnose issues
Reliable Transportation
Must have a dependable personal vehicle to travel between job sites
Detail‑Oriented
Ability to accurately track time, job locations, and service details
Tools
Must supply basic hand tools and a drill with screwdriver bits
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine and emergency service calls
Troubleshoot, replace, and repair malfunctioning or inoperative equipment
Provide clear and professional customer support
Educate customers on system operation and functionality
Perform system testing and signal verification
Maintain and manage assigned truck stock and inventory
Organize and utilize technical resources efficiently
Ensure timely completion of assigned tasks
Document service work, time, and productivity accurately
Complete and submit all required documentation on time
Complete additional projects as assigned
Qualifications
High School Diploma or Vocational Training required
2+ years of relevant experience in security systems service
Strong troubleshooting skills for:
Intrusion systems
Fire systems
CCTV
Intercom and access control systems
Working knowledge of local and national codes
Mastery of test equipment (multimeters, battery analyzers, decibel meters)
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation (English)
Valid driver’s license
Must be able to pass a drug screening
Strong work ethic and attention to detail
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this position, the technician must be able to:
Stand, walk, sit, twist, push, pull, and reach with hands and arms
Climb ladders and work in confined or elevated spaces (attics, crawl spaces, ceilings)
Lift, move, and hold up to 50 lbs
Use close, distance, peripheral, depth, and color vision
Work flexible hours, including on‑call availability
Drive a motor vehicle for extended periods (day and evening)

This is a Contract position based out of Nashville, TN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
