Robert Half Accounts Payable Supervisor/Manager in Nashville, Tennessee
Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor/Manager to oversee the daily operations of our accounts payable department. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage a team effectively. The ideal candidate will ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments while maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
• Supervise and manage the accounts payable team to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to deadlines.
• Oversee the coding and processing of invoices with precision and compliance.
• Conduct regular check runs and ensure payments are processed accurately and on time.
• Manage Automated Clearing House (ACH) payment processes and resolve any discrepancies.
• Implement and monitor internal controls to maintain accuracy within the accounts payable department.
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
• Review and approve invoices for payment, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Develop and maintain vendor relationships to address payment inquiries and resolve issues.
• Generate reports on accounts payable activities for management review.
• Train and mentor team members to enhance their skills and knowledge in accounts payable functions. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable management or supervision.
• Strong knowledge of coding invoices and check run processes.
• Proficiency in handling Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Ability to analyze and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
• Proficient in using accounting software and tools.
• Familiarity with internal controls and compliance requirements.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for managing teams and vendor relationships.
