Robert Half Accounting Manager in Nashville, Tennessee
Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join a healthcare organization specializing in value-based care. This role involves overseeing daily accounting operations, managing financial reporting, and supervising a small team of accounting staff. The ideal candidate will bring healthcare industry expertise and be familiar with value-based care models. This is a Contract to permanent position based in Nashville, Tennessee.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and execute all daily accounting operations, including general ledger activities and reconciliations.
• Direct the month-end and year-end close processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and related reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Supervise and provide guidance to a team of 2-3 accounting staff members.
• Review and approve journal entries to maintain compliance with accounting standards.
• Collaborate with auditors during financial statement audits to address inquiries and ensure compliance.
• Utilize QuickBooks and Excel to handle manual accounting processes effectively.
• Support reporting requirements for Private Equity ownership and provide insights on financial performance.
• Ensure adherence to healthcare industry regulations, with a focus on value-based care operations.
• Identify areas for process improvement to enhance efficiency within the accounting department. Requirements • Minimum of 7 years of accounting experience, with a strong background in healthcare industry operations.
• Proven expertise in managing month-end and year-end close procedures.
• Hands-on experience with general ledger and account reconciliation processes.
• Familiarity with value-based care models and healthcare reimbursement practices.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and advanced Excel skills.
• Prior management experience, including supervising and mentoring accounting staff.
• Knowledge of Private Equity-backed organizations and related reporting requirements.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
