The Senior Supply Chain Planner role will encompass all supply chain activities necessary to support the THAAD ramp through direct task assignments from the Munitions Acceleration Team (MAT). You will be part of a fast-paced team focused on accelerating our ability to support the Warfighter s needs by increasing the speed of delivery of THAAD Seekers.
The Senior Supply Chain Planner (SCP) develops and implements long-term supply chain strategies and networks that address capacity issues, production location decisions, etc. in support of business growth and sustainment. The planner supports execution of programs and coordination of new program/product launches. The SCP monitors key performance indicators, analyzes performance data, and coordinates cross-functional working teams to increase effectiveness of supply chain initiatives.
The Supply Chain Planner optimizes how supply chain management interfaces with manufacturing systems. The SCP will plan, prepare, issue and control material requirements in conjunction with the production schedule. The SCP will support risk management activities impacting the value chain working with cross-functional teams and ensure that shipments are accomplished to maintain contract and internal delivery commitments. The SCP will utilize system and process tools to achieve program/functional goals.
As a senior planner, this position requires that the individual possess a strong understanding of procurement and planning process steps; the individual must be capable of troubleshooting process failures to ensure success for the program. This position relies on experience and judgment to organize, plan, and accomplish department objectives with a wide degree of creativity, continuous improvement approach, and latitude expected to fulfill a variety of duties.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor's Degree and 4 years work experience or equivalent experiencePlanning experience in a large multifaceted electronic manufacturing environment
Familiarity with defense aerospace industry & regulations
Significant ERP System Experience (Oracle, SAP, Other), inclusive of shop floor control systems
Knowledge of Manufacturing processes
Sales & Operations Experience / knowledge
Inventory / stockroom management
Project Management experience
Ability to verbally and accurately report production status to program team or factory team
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Create presentation materials and give presentations to leadership team, production team, and customers
Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Power Point)
Ability to analyze, react, and train on exceptions in MRP, especially around Bills of Material, Material Planning, Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders and ECOs
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Strong sense of urgency and follow-through
Higher level education completed or in process
APICS certified
Ability to implement Lean & Six Sigma improvements
Root Cause/Corrective Action Skills
Subject Matter Expert (SME) knowledge in two or more of the following: Supply Chain, Demand Planning, Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP), Inventory Management, and Rough Cut Capacity Planning or Production Planning
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $82779 - $140723

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
