Electronic Combat Solutions (ECS) has technology, engineering and program teams that educate and mentor colleagues to deliver leading Electronic Warfare capabilities. BAE Systems is seeking a Principal Manufacturing Quality Engineering Lead to support microelectronics module manufacturing at our site in Nashua, NH.
In this role, you will:
Provide quality control support to the microelectronics module manufacturing value stream, with a focus on the inspection operations.
Lead a focus team of manufacturing quality engineers.
Utilize quality control data to lead innovative improvements toward cost of poor quality (CoPQ) and process efficiency, without compromising product integrity.
Reinforce compliance to AS9100 Quality Management System (QMS) by supporting audits and continuous improvement efforts.
Be proficient in AS9145, the Aerospace series requirements for Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), by developing and improving PFMEAs, Control Plans and MSAs.

Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this role, it will be performed fulltime on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor s Degree and 6 years of experience or 10 years of experience in lieu of degree
Experience supporting a manufacturing environment
Experience supporting electronics production
Experience in a quality assurance role
Experience/ability to oversee a team, foster employee development, and ensure a positive work environment while aligning team goals with organizational objectives
Proficiency in corrective action responses (RCCA/CAPA/8D)
Ability to read and interpret technical data packages, engineering drawings, Bill of Materials, component specifications, standards, and process sheets
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor s degree in an engineering or technical discipline
Minimum of ten (10) years of experience supporting a manufacturing environment
Minimum of five (5) years of experience supporting electronics production
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a quality assurance role
Proficiency in applying and interpreting military-grade standards such as MIL-STD-883, MIL-PRF-38534 and IPC-A-610
Experience leading teams committed to a culture of development and teamwork.
Experience tracking factory hardware and documenting non-conformances in Manufacturing Execution Systems.
Experience with AS9100 Quality Management Systems auditing procedures and continuous improvement activities.
Identification, control, and disposition of discrepant material through Preliminary Material Review (PMR) and/or Material Review Board (MRB)
Experience with Aerospace standards (AS9145, AS9100 and AS9102) and first article inspection process
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt or ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
Understanding of engineering drawing dimensions and tolerances (ANSI 14.5 GD&T)
Ability to extract data for visual presentations (using charts, tables, paretos, etc.) to effectively communicate positions, issues or to drive actions.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $118095 - $200762
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
