Zerbe Retirement Community Long-term Care Medical Billing Specialist in Narvon, Pennsylvania
We are seeking a detail-oriented Long-Term Care Medical Billing Specialist to manage resident billing, insurance claims, and payment processing for our retirement community. Must have experience in LTC billing systems, Medicare/Medicaid, and strong accuracy skills.
Pay Rate: $ 28.00- 33.00 hourly Job Type: Full-time Expected Hours: 8 am - 4:30 pm Mon - Friday!
Skills and Requirements:
- High School Diploma and Associate degree or other medical billing training preferred
- 2+ years' experience as a Medical Biller
- Excellent experience with Medicare
- Some knowledge of Medicaid billing is a plus
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR)
- Experience with Point, Click, Care a plus
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Able to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent problem-solving skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monthly Billing of Managed Care and Medicare Claims
- Knowledge of Medicaid or willingness to cross train
- Follow up with payers to ensure timely processing of claims
- Work with the 3rd party billers to verify accurate billing of Medicare and Insurance billing
- Posting of cash receipts
- Electronically deposit checks
- Report and analyze patient accounts
- Research, review, and work on outstanding claims on aging
- Prepared the month-end close file each month
- Manage resident funds and resident petty cash
