Job Title: CNC Machinist

Job Description

This CNC Machinist role is based in Naples, FL on a first-shift schedule from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday. You will set up, operate, and maintain CNC equipment in a fast-paced, climate-controlled manufacturing environment. The position requires strong machining experience, the ability to read blueprints and GD&T, and a commitment to producing high-quality parts with minimal supervision while following all safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes according to production specifications and job requirements.

  • Load CNC programs, adjust offsets, and verify tool paths to ensure accurate and efficient machining.

  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and work instructions to produce parts to specification.

  • Perform changeovers, including tool changes and setup adjustments, to support production runs and new jobs.

  • Perform in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other measuring tools to verify part quality.

  • Maintain tight tolerances and ensure all parts consistently meet quality and dimensional standards.

  • Troubleshoot machining issues, identify root causes, and make necessary adjustments to improve part quality and machine performance.

  • Assist with basic CNC programming or G-code adjustments as needed to optimize machining operations.

  • Conduct routine machine maintenance and keep equipment and work areas clean, organized, and in good working order.

  • Follow all safety procedures, shop rules, and company policies while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Skills

  • At least 2 years of CNC machining experience in milling or turning operations.

  • Proficiency in setting up and operating CNC mills and/or lathes.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T symbols.

  • Hands-on experience using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges for quality inspection.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot machining issues and make effective adjustments.

  • Ability to perform changeovers and tool changes accurately and efficiently.

  • Capability to lift 40+ pounds and stand for extended periods during the shift.

  • High school diploma or equivalent education.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining tight tolerances and quality standards.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced production environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Familiarity with G-code and the ability to make basic program adjustments.

  • Experience with CNC programming or assisting in programming changes.

  • experience in quality inspection processes within a machining or manufacturing environment.

  • Experience performing routine preventive maintenance on CNC machines.

  • Demonstrated troubleshooting skills for CNC equipment and machining processes.

  • Comfort working with both milling and turning equipment is a plus.

You will stand for extended periods, handle parts and tools that may weigh 40+ pounds, and work around running machinery while following established safety procedures. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Naples, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $29.00/hr.
